ABES and BNDES close deal to finance up to R$ 20mi IT companies
Over R$79 million have already been granted
Last March 11th it was announced a partnership between ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies) and the BNDES Innovative MSME credit line that serves the South region of Brazil through BRDE. The negotiations began in 2014 and offers R$ 300 million and may be requested by companies classified as innovatives from southern states.
The main goal of the agreement is to foster growth and increase competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises. The initiative funds up to R$20 million for technology companies that provide innovative features and sales up to R$ 90 million per year. According to statement released by BRDE, since its inception in August 2014, the initiative has awarded more than R$79 million with 53 contracts signed in the southern region of the country.
ABES provides on its website an Industrial Support Instruments Guide, developed by the Industrial Development Agency (ABDI). Through this tool, companies can understand the financial support instruments and technical innovation and export trade defense, existing incentives and exemptions in the Brazilian market for industrial development, according to the profile and the company’s demand. According to Jorge Sukarie, president of ABES, the organization offers a basic information to encourage the growth of the sector. “The organization aims to support continuously and encourage the development of enterprises providing the resources and information necessary for entrepreneurs to maintain their growth and expand their business.”
